Started in a Llandudno garage in the early 2000s by chemist Gwynne Thomas, now a 10,000 sq ft brewery at Llysfaen turning out over a million pints a year. Eleven traditional ales in cask and bottle, unfiltered and unpasteurised, plus the MASH taproom looking over Rhos-on-Sea beach.
Conwy was the first new brewery in North Wales in over 100 years, naturally conditioned throughout. The core range covers a lot of ground: dark malty Rampart, copper-coloured Welsh Pride, grapefruit-forward Beachcomber, citrusy California, tropical Clogwyn Gold and honeyed Honey Fayre. Keep an eye out too for seasonal drops like the winter-warming Telford Porter and hop-forward Surfin IPA, plus low-alcohol Sero.
