Rooted in Liverpool, and brewing with one ear on the music. Colbier's stated aim is harmonising a passion for continental brewing with more traditional styles, which, given the city they're doing it in, feels about right.
Colbier brew in Liverpool with a music theme running right through the range. Their core beers (Overture, Chorus, Baritone, Intermission, Legato and Encore) are the 'headline acts', put together to cover a wide range of styles, and include a session Hazy Pale Ale as the opening act and a traditional British Pale Ale where spicy German hops balance fruitier American ones. Beyond that sits the 'back catalogue': an eclectic, rotating mix exploring everything from traditional British ales to modern craft styles.
